Modesto Sound is proud to announce the appointment of Mitchell Dill as its new Executive Director. A lifelong musician and sound professional with over 15 years of experience, Mitchell brings a strong background in live performance, audio engineering, and arts administration. His experience includes supervising production teams, coordinating event logistics, and managing administrative and technical documentation, skills that strengthen both the creative and operational sides of the organization.

Mitchell’s history with Modesto Sound comes full circle. As a young artist, he recorded in the organization’s studio and later connected with former intern turned professional sound engineer Mark Oesau. Those experiences helped spark a passion for local music and the belief that creative opportunities can change lives and build careers.

As Executive Director, Mitchell will lead efforts to advance Modesto Sound’s mission to empower youth and strengthen the local creative economy through music education, recording, and collaboration. His leadership will focus on expanding opportunities for emerging artists, fostering partnerships, ensuring strong organizational systems that support creative projects, and continuing the organization’s legacy of community impact through sound.
